Session Information

Watch live! EN | FR |ES

En:
Description: Young people have been at the forefront of advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights globally, innovating, mobilizing, and delivering impact often with limited resources and minimal recognition. Yet despite years of commitments to youth engagement, youth-led organizations continue to face systemic barriers: short-term or inaccessible funding, tokenistic inclusion, and exclusion from decision-making spaces. The question is no longer whether young people should be included in global conversations, but how power and resources can be meaningfully shared.

This youth-led plenary will explore what it truly means to invest in young people, not as beneficiaries but as architects and co-owners of SRHR solutions. It will showcase the potential of youth-led organizations to transform the future of SRHR through intentional financing, sustainable funding models, and trust-based partnerships. Success stories from these organizations will be shared, highlighting how they navigate limited resources and inspiring the audience about the future of SRHR. At the same time, youth experts will highlight unconventional and innovative funding avenues they are pursuing to address ongoing global funding cuts. The plenary will focus on closing funding gaps and building equitable partnerships that redistribute leadership, accountability, and influence.

Participants will be invited to move beyond symbolic inclusion toward structural change, to bridge barriers, build power, and shape a future where youth leadership is recognized, resourced, and sustained.

Featuring:

• Youth-led innovation and lived experience in SRHR

• Success stories and alternative funding pathways in the face of global funding cuts

• Addressing funding gaps and intentional investment in youth-led organizations

• Intergenerational partnerships and shared decision-making

• Diverse regional perspectives shaping the future of SRHR
