
The side event, titled "Feminists Shaping the Future of Abortion Access through Self-Managed Abortion," is being hosted by MAMA Network at the 2025 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) in Bogotá, Colombia.
The session seeks to showcase self-managed abortion (SMA) as the future of abortion access, highlighting feminist-led initiatives that are expanding safe, accessible, and person-centered care.
Through interactive discussions, feminist organizations will share how community networks, digital tools, and accompaniment models are transforming access and shaping the future of reproductive rights. The session will also explore how cross-regional collaboration, technology, and feminist leadership are driving this movement forward.
Open to all ICFP participants, the event will offer multilingual interpretation and foster collective reflection on the next frontier of reproductive autonomy and justice.
